It’s what we all want, but a dewy finish for those with oily skin is as elusive as an excellent first date best foundation for oily skin . And when we get it, it slips through our fingers very quickly (a bit like foundation running down our face).

- It seems like a lot, but trust me when I say that hard work is worth it.
Step 1: A Dewy Moisturiser.
When I recently posted my skin prep routine on the Gram, some D.M.s wondered why I would use a rich, glowing moisturizer when I have oily skin…
This seems like a big no-no for oily skin, but I don’t like makeup rules. I feel like it’s only through trial and error that you’ll find your magic formula to suit your skin type best foundation for oily skin

I suggest using a moisturizer like KORA Organics Turmeric Glow Hydrating Pot 50ml, which will soften and plump the appearance of your skin.

After that, I use a primer like MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Shine Control Primer 30ml, but only on my T-zone, where oil leaks from my pores like bacon sizzling in a frying pan.

Step 3: The Best Full Coverage Foundation.

This is the longest-lasting foundation I have ever used and the best for oily skin. This first meeting at 8 p.m. will undoubtedly last!
But if you want a more satin finish, the Double Wear foundation applies well over a glossy moisturizer. Ah, now it all makes sense.
I’ve been using a fluffy synthetic brush like the Spectrum A01 Domed Powder Brush instead of a traditional foundation brush. I used this tip from a makeup artist and found it gave lighter but utterly flawless coverage best foundation for oily skin.
Step 4: Concealer & Contour.
Now, let’s move on to the products to finish my foundation.
I pair my Double Wear foundation with Estée Lauder Double Wear Instant Fix 24H + Hydra Prep concealer because it’s resistant to humidity and sweat but has a satin finish.
Next, I’ll use a contour cream to define my face, but I need it to last a long time best foundation for oily skin.
